Fishing Report 4/24

Receiving information that the Striper bite is getting stronger in the south near the Commodore Berry bridge including a 41 lber that was landed. Have had local reports of nice size fish caught also from the airport area up to the Tacony. Baits of choice have been the blood worms, bunker and salted clams.

Shad are showing up stronger in the north end of the river. Reports of several fish being caught on recent trips to the Trenton/Morrisville area and continuing up to New Hope and Lambertville. Shad spoons have been working very well. We are in full production mode on the spoons here at Brinkman’s as well as darts which have also produced some nice catches.

Levittown Lake was restocked yesterday with numerous large size rainbow and browns. Pennypack is being restocked on 4/26. An angler reported this morning he limited out quickly on gulp and spinner baits at Levittown Lake and saw many others do the same. Penn Warner lake is also warming up with activity with some nice pickerel being caught.

The ocean bite has turned on with tog recently. Yours truly on a boat on Sunday with many nice size keepers. The Striped bass are plentiful up in Raritan Bay as well.
